Human rights defender with 30 years of experience in the field of protection of human rights and interests in Ukraine and abroad.
Eduard Bagirov is the author of the concept of anti-raider methods of struggle. In addition, he effectively protected the rights of owners in the event of an attempt to violate their intellectual property and against raiding of the private property of Ukrainian and foreign citizens.
- 1991-1994 — Founder and chairman of the “Mercury” cooperative, the private enterprise “Union-Service”;
- 1991-1996 — co-founder and deputy chairman of the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Pravozakhist”;
- 2000 — 2001 — specialist in legal issues of the public organization “Kyiv Association of Disabled Persons with Cerebral Palsy “KASICEP”;
- From 2001 to today, he is the Chairman of the board of the international human rights organization “International League for the Protection of the Rights of Citizens of Ukraine”;
- From 2010 to 2014, he was a member of 47 Public Councils under the ministries and other central bodies of the executive power of Ukraine.
As a legal expert, he participated in television projects of more than 20 TV channels, all radio companies and print media of Ukraine. Provided legal advice in the field of human rights protection to citizens, thanks to which millions of Ukrainian citizens received legal assistance through mass media.
He is the author and organizer of the National Project “Dialogue between the people and the government and combating corruption”.
The author and organizer of the project “Justice and legal protection”, which consists in providing free legal assistance to convicts and employees of the State Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the results of a 2015 sociological survey conducted by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology LLC on the topic: “Awareness of the activities of human rights defenders in Ukraine”, Eduard Bagirov took first place with a result of 2,241,000 people aged 18+ who consider him a well-known human rights defender.
